Basics of Reading and Tajweed program $72 – 6 Hours – 3 session a week – 30 min each
In this program, the student learns the basic skills that enable them to read the Holy Qur’an. These include:
• The names of the Arabic letters, their shapes, and how to pronounce them.
• Distinguishing between letters that look similar in writing and sounds that are close in pronunciation.
• The different forms of Arabic letters with the specific vowels related to them : Fatḥa, Ḍamma, Kasra, Sukūn, Shadda, Tanwīn, and Madd.
• The definite article “Lām Al-Taʿrīf” and the different ways of pronouncing it.
• The symbols used in the standardization of the Holy Qur’an and their meanings, which help the reader to read correctly and prevent mistakes.
• Comparing the symbols used in Qur’anic writing with those used in ordinary spelling (outside the Qur’an).
• Some of the basic rules related to the recitation of the Qur’an, such as the rules of Nūn Sākina and Tanwīn, Mīm Sākina, Lām Sākina, the different lengths of Madd, as well as other rules regarding the correct pronunciation of certain letters in different situations.
